UX Technical Specialist


Where it all began

I tought English to professionals with Elysées Langues between 2008-2010 during which time I learnt to program applications as a hobby.

Based on one of these projects, I was asked to interview for Dassault Systèmes.

As a result, I started my career at Dassault Systèmes in 2010 where I worked in tandem with Brand Marketing, Executive and R&D to manage the User Experience of Dassault Systèmes' Social Innovation Collaboration service.

The role

The term for my role in Dassault Systèmes was "User Experience Technical Specialist". This meant that my role was much more focused on UX than UI - I worked in tandem with a graphic designer to provide the specifications required by R&D.

Typical requirements of my role were:

  • Roadmap planning (at a strategic level) with the Brand CEO and Marketing & Strategy director
  • UX design and feature definition
  • Interlock with R&D to ensure developed features meet strategic and customer needs
  • Communication of the feature-set and product value to sales teams worldwide
